Social Program

Welcome Party (Reception): Aug.1, 18:00-19:30 †

The welcome party will be organized either in the building or outside depending on the weather. Please confirm the party place at the registration desk.

Excursion: Aug.4, 13:00- †

On the conference excursion, we will leave the city of Sapporo and first visit Jigokudani Onsen (the Hell Valley hot spring), and then the Poroto Kotan (Ainu Museum) where we can see the traditional Ainu dance. In Jigokudani Onsen, you may try to take bath (no cloth allowed in the bath).

After the visit to Poroto Kotan, we will back to the city of Sapporo and have Genghis Kahn Dinner (self-cooking style mutton barbecue with drinks) at Sapporo Beer Garden.

Important:
The bus for the excursion will leave the Conference Hall at 13:00 on Aug.4, and light lunch will be served in the bus. Since we will have no time to wait for the late people, please be punctual to come to the Conference Hall by 13:00. Also please have the same seat in the same bus thought the excursion to help us for easy confirmation of the number of participants.

If you prefer a vegetarian food at Sapporo Beer Garden, please let the registration desk know about it by Aug. 3.

Banquet: Aug. 5, 18:30-20:30 †

We will have the Conference Banquet (buffet style) at the Eminence Hall of the Keio Plaza Hotel.

Farewell Lunch: Aug. 6, 12:30- †

We will serve light Farewell Lunch after the technical program of the conference. Please confirm the party place at the registration desk.

Accompanying Person Program: †

As the accompanying person program, the following activities are offered without extra charge.

1. Aug.2: Sapporo city walk & Japanese tea ceremony experience
   
2. Aug.3: Kado (Japanese flower arrangement) and Syodo (Japanese calligraphy) experience
   
3. Aug.5: A short tour to Otaru city, neighboring to Sapporo and being historical and romantic
   

Each activity is limited to 25 people.

The accompanying persons who are interested in the program are invited to register themselves for each activity on site at the “City Information Desk” in Conference Hall by 12:00 Monday, Aug 2.

Other information †

Internet connection †

The information will be supplied to the delegates when they make the conference registration at the reception desk.

Cloakroom †

On the last day of the conference, Aug.6, the room F in the conference Hall will be used as the cloakroom. Please come to the reception desk if you like to keep your luggage in this room.

Lunch place †

The conference serves no lunch except on Aug.4 (at the excursion) and Aug. 6 (farewell lunch). You will receive a map for convenient lunch places and other facilities at the reception desk when you make the conference registration.
